7:30?

This is how I usually feel.
My English class is at 8:30 every MWF. I am not a morning person. But for some reason one day I was... apparently. I got up one Wednesday morning, got ready for class. In a really good mood. Got to the bus stop early (Yay!) Got to the building my class is in early (also yay!) It's on the opposite end of campus, and usually takes around 10-15 minutes to get there.  So I'm just chillin' in the hall waiting for the class before us to get out. I look up at the clock on the wall and it says 7:20. I just laugh to myself and think someone ought to fix that. Then I get my phone out... ya.. it also says 7:20... ugh. I got to class over an hour early! What was I thinking?? How come I didn't notice earlier?!?! At this point there's no chance of going back home, because by the time I'd get there it'd be about time to head back to class. Lucky for me the library is close by, so I went there and took a nap. (I love the library... I probably take 2 or 3 naps there a week... haha. Pathetic? Yes I know.:) )  I had to present in English that day, and I had a test in ASL. Maybe that's why I was so anxious to get there. Guess it's better than being late.  Later that day I was thinking about it, and remembered, I distinctly recall thinking to my self, at the bus stop: "Wow. there's not a lot of people waiting for the bus today" and as I walked to the building: "Huh. I never noticed the sun looking that pretty when I walk to class."  Uh duh. That's because you've never gone to class at 7 in the morning you dork. Ah well. It's funny to laugh at now.

Brother Krebs.

My institute teacher is the best. I used to be in a different class, but I didn't like the teacher at all, so I switched, and I'm so glad I did. I'm now in a D&C class. My teacher, Bro. Krebs, is amazing. He brings the spirit to the class everyday, but he also makes the lessons really fun. He is full of funny stories, and awesome one-liners. Here's a few. :)

*Talking to a student who wasn't in institute*
Krebs: "You should take institute."
Girl: "I know.."
Krebs: "You're husband's there."
Girl: "Um.. I'm not married.."
Krebs: "Exactly!"

*Talking to a guy in class*
Krebs: "What's a must-have quality in girls you date?"
Guy: *Showing his wedding ring* "I've already got my eternal date."

*Talking about qualities of priesthood holders in section 121*
"Men if you want the priesthood, be a woman!"

*Random things he's said in class*
"Behind every great guy, there's a suprise mother-in-law."

"I'm an open book, it's just the cover that's ugly."

"If you ever want to feel better about yourself, just watch youtube."

"It's okay to look stupid, because someone else will always make you look great."

"Life's a crap-sandwhich, and each day's another bite."

"Look in the scriptures, God never destroys a city with righteous people in it... California better be grateful for the LDS people there..."

"I always thought Noah must've been a crappy missionary. He preached for years, and God drowned all his investigators."

"Either a talk from a prophet or a football game will humble a BYU student."

"The Second Coming is Wednesday.... I mean the lesson!"

*Just a few things I really love that I've gotten from his class.*

-Happiness is just as much fun to remember as it is to do.

-The gospel is beautifly simple, and simply beautiful.

-You don't need to "eat" all of the atonment, you only need a little taste. Christ suffered through the atonment so we don't have to.

-"Take up your cross" means deny yourself of all ungodliness, and every worldly lust, and keep his commandments. (Matt 16:25-26)

-"Elect" means to be elected to a certain work. (D&C 25)

-Everytime Christ has come to the Earth, he has had the sacrement with someone.

-Satan changed his tactics, he can't stop temples from being built, but he can stop people form going to them.

-The closer the Second Coming gets, the more calm the saints will be.

-"The end of the world is the end of unrightousness or of worldliness as we know it." -Bruce R. McConkie

-God gave us the spirit of faith, not fear.

I know this was kind of a different post, but I just felt like I needed to share it. I am so grateful for institute, it means the world to me. I know this church is true. God lives. Thomas S. Monson is the prophet, through him we can learn what God would have us do. I know Christ suffered for me; I can repent and live with him again. I know when I do what I am supossed to, my life is so much calmer. The gospel is peace. The gospel is truth. I know this and believe it with all my heart.

Stargazing

My friends Britni and Paige (the two in front with practically identical poses... ha) are taking an astronomy class this semester.  For different assignments they have to go stargazing, so we all went with them. :)

The group

me and my best friend :)

Britni checking out the stars
Chris was picking flowers for Kath.. haha kinda cute.

When we got back from stargazing, we went to Chris's apartment and played Apples to Apples!

This is like our official college game.... hah we play it ALL the time :)

Labor Day Weekend

I got a ride home labor day weekend with Katherine, Britni, and Chris. :)

Mom and Dad were on a trip when I got home, so it was just me and Ster.  It was super fun though, Sterling took me out to get frosties then we redboxed the movie Rio.  It was a cute show. :) And it was super fun to hang out with my brother.  Thanks Ster!

It was fun to go to my home ward again, good to see them all.

Mom, Dad and I went to a YSA stake fireside. It was absolutely amazing, the presenter was a piano player, Josh Wright. Most of what he played were hymns that he had re-arranged. Loved it.

We spend Monday with Stew and Maggie, and Heidi, Luke, Bailee, and Riley.

I came back to Logan Monday night, and just after we got back, we went to Angie's to "Clean the Sink"! It was so much fun, but super disgusting too!

Our "sink" included loads of ice-cream, 4 bananas, whipping cream, chocolate sauce, reeces chunks, and oreo chunks!

The Masterpiece!

Before we all felt like we were going to die :)
(I'm not sure why the picture is cut off...)

Finally finished! I can't believe we survived! gross!

Whoo! Bumper sticker! hah

new roommates...

 ...3 of these guys...

...needless to say, these roommates didn't last very long....

G-5

My house:)

We actually have a front porch! ha
Our super boring front room... I found this idea on Pinterest, but I need to find some cheap cloths pins before I can do it.

My dad and Heidi set us up with a DVD player and projector to watch movies on:)

Our messy kitchen.
Entrance to my room, it's just to the left when you walk in the front door.
my bed
Closet, with the cute umbrella I bought :) ohh and the little painting is an idea from Pinterest too :)
The vanity.
toilet and shower are separate from the vanity, which is very nice.
I'm spoiled, I know... :] It's so nice having your own room, but I think it would be more fun to have all 5 other roommates in your apartment, just because it would be a lot more social.. But, Lyndsay is an awesome roommate, so it's all good.

I don't like thinking of titles.

Yesterday they had Day on the Quad, and all the clubs and organizations you can join had booths set up to check out. I joined the ASL club and DESA- Deaf Education Students Association. I got an awesome t-shirt for joining! haha.

Front
Back (no idea why it's turned the wrong direction...)

Last night Paige- Blue/Purple at bottom, Britni- Pink/yellow at top, Katherine- Colorful on left, and I- Stripes on right, did nails :)

We were in Paige and Britni's front room with the window open, and so many people stopped to look at all the nail polish as they were walking past. People were kind of shocked at how much there was haha. :)

Amber, the cookies I made were from a box mix, so I don't have an actual recipe for them. :/ I just googled chocolate crackle cookie recipe, and found a few that might be worth trying.

http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Chocolate-Crackle-Cookies-10491

http://www.marthastewart.com/281209/chocolate-crackle-cookies

They both look much more complicated than the mix so it might be worth just buying the mix if you want to try them. :)
